St Joseph's College
St Joseph's College is an independent school located in the historic port town of Ipswich. It offers a full educational journey from nursery through to sixth form, serving around 600 students aged 2 to 18, including many boarders.

According to the Vice Principal co curricular, Mrs Victoria Harvey, St Joseph's is committed to fostering an innovative and collaborative teaching and learning environment. As part of this commitment, staff are encouraged to "nurture talent" and "spark creativity", especially in subjects such as art, music, and photography.

To do this, the school's leadership team recognised that they needed to provide pupils with state-of-the-art technology.
The school had already begun this process with the help of MCC Digital in 2023, equipping 92 teachers and 516 students with iPads. Following the success of this initiative, St Joseph's once again partnered with us to realise their vision, with a suite of Macs deployed across creative departments.
Director of Music Guy Layton explained why they opted for Mac: "Mac has been the industry standard in creative sectors for decades. At St Joseph's, we wanted to empower the next generation of these creative minds."
"The best way we can do that," he continued, "is to equip them with the best possible tools and experiences, in order for them to express their creativity and allow them to be themselves."
The rollout of the new Macs has already exceeded these expectations, enabling both students and teachers to engage with a newly accessible and flexible curriculum. They have taken full advantage of new apps and cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) capabilities. Students with special educational needs (SEN) and those for whom English is an additional language (EAL) have also benefitted from access to advanced and inclusive learning tools.
MCC Digital provided comprehensive support for all aspects of the deployment process and beyond, from configuring the devices and managing app settings to offering cybersecurity assistance and access to Apple Professional Learning Specialists (APLS).
"When we spoke with MCC Digital about our vision for the future of our creative subjects, they helped us every step of the way," said James Bain, Photography and Art Teacher. "They showed us the true power of the latest generation of Apple Silicon, the latest models, and the right classroom setups for what we wanted to achieve."
As a result, Victoria Harvey believes the school's pupils are now well-positioned to explore their creativity in a progressive learning environment.
"Education really does come first," she observed, "and through the work we'll continue to do with MCC Digital, our parents and our wider community will know that we are a school that innovates, collaborates, and succeeds with Apple."
